You walk 3.3 km extra to make a pit stop. Closed on Tuesday. Fine, it is Wednesday .... so the tent is closed while there are guests on the campsite (?). Very bad!!

Absolutely dirty full ashtrays old glasses on the tables although there was hardly any crowds. Have fallen in twice now. Not recommendable

We took a rest in the Alpenhaus on a hike today. A cozy hut with a great view from the terrace. There was delicious pea soup with food at a reasonable price. We thought it was great in the hut and went on strengthened and happy.

We have already booked the double room for one night on 04.11.19 for 10.04.20 with 10 people. Have received an oral confirmation. On the note that we wanted to make a deposit, we were assured that it was not necessary, the booking would be registered. After we followed up several times by e-mail asking for a written confirmation and by phone, we unfortunately did not even receive a response. After we finally reached someone on March 4th, 2020, we were told that the rooms had already been booked by another person for the whole weekend. We are totally disappointed with such an approach. To give the rooms to the person who stays most of the night. There is no other way of explaining the decision. Very annoying. Now we can look for a completely new hiking tour including overnight accommodation for 10 people. Even one star is still too many for the way.

Great host, great food, simple accommodation just like in the Alps, just outside the front door; in the middle of the forest with super cool panoramic views over the Sauerland forest. Please do not expect sauna or swimming pool. Here is tranquility of luxury ...... ?
